Description

Delight in these Apple Pie Oreo Truffles, a luscious no-bake treat combining the classic flavors of apple pie with creamy Oreo and white chocolate. These bite-sized sweets feature a smooth apple pie-infused Oreo and cream cheese center, coated in cinnamon-spiced white chocolate and optionally garnished with pecans for added crunch. Perfect for a festive dessert or sweet snack, these truffles are easy to prepare and irresistibly delicious.

Ingredients

Truffle Mixture

  • 14.3 ounces Golden Oreos (1 package)
  • 1/2 cup apple pie filling
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened

Chocolate Coating

  • 16 ounces white chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Garnish (Optional)

  • Finely chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Prepare Baking Sheets: Line two baking sheets with silicone mats or parchment paper. Set aside to prepare the truffles.
  2. Make Oreo Crumbs: Place the Golden Oreos in a food processor and pulse until they become fine crumbs. Transfer the crumbs to a large mixing bowl to combine with other ingredients.
  3. Puree Apple Pie Filling: Without cleaning the food processor, add the apple pie filling and pulse until smooth. Set the puree aside for mixing later.
  4. Combine Truffle Base: Mix the softened cream cheese with the Oreo crumbs using a rubber spatula until fully incorporated. Add in the smoothed apple pie filling and combine until the mixture is smooth but slightly wet in texture.
  5. Form Truffle Balls: Scoop about 1 tablespoon of the mixture with your hands and roll it into a ball. Place each formed truffle onto the prepared baking sheets. Continue until all mixture is used, resulting in approximately 32 truffles.
  6. Chill Truffles: Refrigerate the baking sheets with the truffles for 30 minutes to 1 hour to allow them to firm up and set properly.
  7. Melt Chocolate Coating: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the white chocolate chips and vegetable oil. Heat on high for 1 minute, then stir. Continue heating in 30-second increments, stirring after each, until chocolate is fully melted and smooth. Stir in the cinnamon for added flavor.
  8. Coat Truffles: Dip each chilled truffle into the melted white chocolate, using a fork to coat thoroughly. Lift the truffle out, tapping the fork on the bowl’s edge to remove excess chocolate, then place it back on the baking sheet. If desired, sprinkle with finely chopped pecans while the chocolate is still wet. Repeat for all truffles.
  9. Set Coating: Return the coated truffles to the refrigerator for 10 to 15 minutes or until the chocolate hardens completely.
  10. Storage: Store the finished Apple Pie Oreo Truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to enjoy, ensuring freshness and optimal taste.

Notes

  • Using golden Oreos enhances the apple pie flavor, but regular Oreos can be used for a chocolate variation.
  • The vegetable oil helps the white chocolate melt smoothly and achieve a shiny coating.
  • Chilling the truffles thoroughly before dipping ensures they maintain their shape during coating.
  • Adding pecans as a garnish adds a delightful crunch and complements the apple-cinnamon flavor.
  • Store truffles in the refrigerator to prevent melting and extend shelf life.
