Ingredients
Brisket Filling
- 2 cups finely chopped brisket (leftover or deli)
- 16 ounces K C Masterpiece Honey and Molasses BBQ Sauce
- 1 cup apricot preserves
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- Dash garlic powder
Sliders
- 12 Hawaiian rolls
- 8 ounces Swiss cheese slices
- ¼ cup melted butter
- Everything Bagel Seasoning (to taste)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare Brisket: Finely chop the leftover or deli brisket until you have 2 cups ready for use in the sliders.
- Make BBQ Sauce: In a medium saucepan, combine the BBQ sauce, apricot preserves, brown sugar, and a dash of garlic powder. Stir well and heat over medium heat until bubbly. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- Prepare Rolls: Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half lengthwise using a large sharp knife. Arrange the bottom halves in a baking dish to form the slider base.
- Assemble Sliders: Spread the chopped brisket evenly over the bottom halves of the rolls. Spoon the prepared BBQ sauce over the brisket, then top each with a slice of Swiss cheese.
- Top and Season: Place the top halves of the rolls over the cheese. Brush the tops with melted butter, then sprinkle generously with Everything Bagel Seasoning and chopped fresh parsley.
- Bake Sliders: Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in a preheated 350°F (175°C) oven for about 10 minutes, until the cheese has melted and the sandwiches are heated through.
- Optional Toast: For a toasted top, remove the foil and bake uncovered for an additional 1 minute, watching carefully to avoid burning.
- Serve: Remove the sliders from the oven and serve warm with the remaining BBQ sauce and your choice of sides such as chips, pickles, or relishes.
