Description
This Cherry Cheesecake Dip is a creamy, sweet, and fruity dessert dip perfect for parties or a delicious snack. It combines smooth cream cheese, fluffy marshmallow creme, and whipped topping with a luscious cherry pie filling on top, served chilled for the best flavor.
Ingredients
Base
- 8 ounces cream cheese (room temperature)
- ⅓ cup powdered sugar
- ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Mix-ins
- 1 jar marshmallow creme (7 ounces)
- 1 heaping cup thawed Cool Whip or Truwhip
Topping
- 1 can cherry pie filling (21 ounces)
Instructions
- Beat Cream Cheese: In a medium bowl, use an electric mixer on medium speed to beat the room temperature cream cheese for about 3 minutes until smooth and fluffy.
- Add Sugar and Vanilla: Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract to the cream cheese and continue to beat for another minute. Scrape down the sides and bottom of the bowl and mix again until the mixture is completely smooth.
- Fold in Marshmallow Creme and Whipped Topping: Using a rubber spatula, gently fold the marshmallow creme into the cream cheese mixture until combined. Then fold in the thawed Cool Whip or Truwhip until the mixture is smooth and well incorporated.
- Chill and Add Topping: Spread the dip evenly into a shallow serving dish. Top the dip with the cherry pie filling, spreading it gently over the surface.
- Refrigerate: Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld and the dip to firm up.
- Serve: Serve chilled with graham crackers, shortbread cookies, fresh fruit, or pound cake for dipping.
