Description

This Easter Fudge recipe combines creamy white chocolate fudge with crunchy chocolate mini eggs for a festive and delightful treat. Perfect for spring celebrations, it features a smooth, rich base enhanced with vanilla and a fun, colorful drizzle decoration using pink and yellow candy melts.

Ingredients

Fudge Base

  • 1 cup chocolate mini eggs (like Cadbury, plus extra for decorating)
  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cups white chocolate chips
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Optional Decoration

  • 3/4 cup pink candy melts
  • 3/4 cup yellow candy melts

Instructions

  1. Crush the Chocolate Mini Eggs: Place the chocolate mini eggs in a zip-top bag and gently crush them into pieces using a rolling pin or a heavy can. Set aside.
  2. Prepare the Pan: Line an 8 x 8 inch square baking pan with parchment paper and set aside.
  3. Make the Fudge Base: In a heavy-bottomed pan, combine the sweetened condensed milk, unsalted butter, white chocolate chips, and salt. Heat the mixture gently over low to medium heat, stirring frequently, until the butter and chocolate have just melted.
  4. Add Vanilla: Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract thoroughly.
  5. Combine Fudge and Mini Eggs: Gently fold the crushed chocolate mini eggs into the fudge mixture, taking care not to break them up too much. Immediately pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan.
  6. Chill the Fudge: Let the fudge cool completely for about 4 hours or refrigerate overnight until firm.
  7. Slice the Fudge: Remove the fudge from the pan using the parchment paper and slice it into 16 even pieces.
  8. Optional Drizzle Decoration: Place the pink and yellow candy melts in separate microwave-safe bowls. Heat each at half power in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds, until melted (about 2-3 minutes).
  9. Decorate the Fudge: Spoon each melted candy color into separate heavy-duty zip-top bags, snip a small corner off each bag, and drizzle the candy melts over the fudge pieces in a decorative pattern. Add extra mini eggs on top if desired.
  10. Set and Serve: Allow the candy drizzle to set completely before serving and enjoying your festive Easter fudge.

Notes

  • Use high-quality white chocolate chips for a smooth and creamy fudge texture.
  • Be careful not to overheat the chocolate mixture to prevent burning; melt gently over low heat stirring often.
  • Crushed mini eggs add delightful texture and festive color, but avoid crushing them too fine.
  • The drizzle decoration is optional but adds a pretty, colorful finish perfect for Easter.
  • Store fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
