Instructions
- Prepare the Fruit: Cut the apples into bite-sized chunks without peeling. Halve the grapes and quarter the strawberries. Slice the banana into rounds. Drain the mandarin oranges thoroughly and pat them dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture. Combine all these fruits in a large mixing or serving bowl.
- Whip the Cream: In a separate bowl, combine the heavy whipping cream, pure maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Using a hand mixer or a stand mixer fitted with a whisk attachment, whip the mixture until medium peaks form. Be careful not to overwhip as that can cause the cream to curdle.
- Combine the Salad: Gently fold the freshly whipped cream into the bowl of mixed fruits until evenly coated. Then, add the chocolate chips and gently combine them throughout the salad.
- Garnish and Serve: Optionally, top the salad with additional banana slices, chocolate chips, and pomegranate arils for a decorative and flavorful finish. Serve immediately for the freshest taste and texture.
