Ingredients
Dip Base
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened to room temperature
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 3 tablespoons molasses
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
- 8 oz Cool Whip topping (or homemade whipped cream)
For Serving
- Sprinkles (optional, for garnish)
- Gingerbread cookie (optional, for garnish)
- 20 graham crackers
- 30-40 Nilla Wafers, gingerbread cookies, or other cookies for dipping
Instructions
- Combine Ingredients: Add the softened cream cheese, brown sugar, powdered sugar, molasses, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and ground cloves into a large mixing bowl. This forms the flavorful spiced base of your gingerbread dip.
- Mix Until Smooth: Using an electric hand mixer, blend the ingredients together for about 2 minutes until the mixture is smooth and well combined. Be sure to scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl to incorporate all ingredients evenly.
- Fold in Cool Whip: With a rubber spatula, gently fold in the Cool Whip topping until fully incorporated. This will give the dip a light and fluffy texture. Pour the dip into a serving dish once combined.
- Garnish and Serve: Top the dip with sprinkles and a gingerbread cookie for festive presentation if desired. Arrange graham crackers, Nilla Wafers, gingerbread cookies, or other preferred dippers around the serving dish. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- For a homemade whipped cream alternative, whip heavy cream with a bit of sugar until stiff peaks form.
- Keep the dip chilled if not serving right away to maintain texture and freshness.
- Feel free to adjust the spices according to your preference for more or less intensity.
- This dip can be made a few hours ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator.
