Description

This Gingerbread Dip is a festive and creamy treat that combines the warm spices of gingerbread with a luscious cream cheese base. Perfect for holiday gatherings, it pairs wonderfully with graham crackers, Nilla Wafers, and gingerbread cookies for dipping. Ready in just 15 minutes, this dip offers a deliciously smooth and sweet flavor with a delightful hint of molasses and spices.

Ingredients

Dip Base

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons molasses
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 8 oz Cool Whip topping (or homemade whipped cream)

For Serving

  • Sprinkles (optional, for garnish)
  • Gingerbread cookie (optional, for garnish)
  • 20 graham crackers
  • 30-40 Nilla Wafers, gingerbread cookies, or other cookies for dipping

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: Add the softened cream cheese, brown sugar, powdered sugar, molasses, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and ground cloves into a large mixing bowl. This forms the flavorful spiced base of your gingerbread dip.
  2. Mix Until Smooth: Using an electric hand mixer, blend the ingredients together for about 2 minutes until the mixture is smooth and well combined. Be sure to scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl to incorporate all ingredients evenly.
  3. Fold in Cool Whip: With a rubber spatula, gently fold in the Cool Whip topping until fully incorporated. This will give the dip a light and fluffy texture. Pour the dip into a serving dish once combined.
  4. Garnish and Serve: Top the dip with sprinkles and a gingerbread cookie for festive presentation if desired. Arrange graham crackers, Nilla Wafers, gingerbread cookies, or other preferred dippers around the serving dish. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a homemade whipped cream alternative, whip heavy cream with a bit of sugar until stiff peaks form.
  • Keep the dip chilled if not serving right away to maintain texture and freshness.
  • Feel free to adjust the spices according to your preference for more or less intensity.
  • This dip can be made a few hours ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator.
