Ingredients

SALMON

  • 4 (6 oz each) salmon fillets
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika (or regular paprika)
  • 1/4 tsp blackening seasoning (optional)

SAUCE

  • 3 Tbsp butter
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 3 Tbsp water
  • 3 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp sriracha sauce
  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Pat salmon dry and season: Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel and season with salt, pepper, paprika, and blackening seasoning. Set aside.
  2. Preheat broiler: Adjust the oven rack to the middle position and preheat the broiler.
  3. Prepare the sauce: In a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter and oil. Add minced garlic, water, soy sauce, sriracha, honey, and lemon juice. Cook for about 30 seconds until the sauce is heated through.
  4. Cook the salmon: Place the salmon fillets skin side down (if applicable) in the skillet and cook for 3 minutes. Baste the salmon frequently with the sauce by spooning it over the top.
  5. Broil the salmon: Broil the salmon for 5-6 minutes, basting once during the broil, until the salmon is caramelized and cooked to your desired doneness.
