Description

Korean Cream Cheese Garlic Bread is a heavenly fusion of savory and sweet, featuring soft dinner rolls stuffed with a luscious cream cheese filling, then drenched in aromatic garlic butter. Baked until golden, crispy, and oozing with flavor, it’s a show-stopping side, snack, or bread course perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Bread

  • 10 dinner rolls or burger buns (store-bought or homemade)

Cream Cheese Filling

  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1.5 tbsp caster sugar

Garlic Butter

  • 1/2 cup salted butter
  • 1/3 cup full-fat milk
  • 1 tbsp caster sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 78 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 2 tbsp parsley, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Prep the Oven and Baking Tray: Preheat your oven to 200°C (392°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. Make the Cream Cheese Filling: In a small bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and caster sugar. Mix until smooth and creamy, then transfer the mixture into a piping bag or ziplock bag. Set aside.
  3. Prepare the Garlic Butter: Melt the butter in a large bowl. Add the milk, sugar, eggs, minced garlic, and chopped parsley. Whisk everything together until well combined.
  4. Slice the Rolls: Using a sharp knife, cut each roll into 6-8 wedges, being careful not to cut all the way through, so the base stays intact and the rolls can hold the filling.
  5. Fill the Rolls: Snip the bottom of your piping bag. Generously pipe cream cheese filling into the crevices of every segmented roll, making sure each roll is well filled.
  6. Coat with Garlic Butter: Dunk each stuffed roll in the garlic butter mixture, turning to coat it evenly. Let excess drip off, then place each roll onto the prepared baking tray.
  7. Bake: Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes or until they are crisp and golden brown on top.
  8. Cool and Enjoy: Allow the bread to cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy warm for the best flavor!

Notes

  • Store leftovers tightly wrapped in foil or in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
  • Reheat leftover bread in a preheated oven or toaster oven to restore crispiness.
  • You can use either homemade or store-bought dinner rolls or burger buns.
  • Adjust the amount of garlic to your preference for a milder or stronger flavor.
