Ingredients
Bread
- 10 dinner rolls or burger buns (store-bought or homemade)
Cream Cheese Filling
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1.5 tbsp caster sugar
Garlic Butter
- 1/2 cup salted butter
- 1/3 cup full-fat milk
- 1 tbsp caster sugar
- 2 eggs
- 7–8 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 2 tbsp parsley, finely chopped
Instructions
- Prep the Oven and Baking Tray: Preheat your oven to 200°C (392°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- Make the Cream Cheese Filling: In a small bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and caster sugar. Mix until smooth and creamy, then transfer the mixture into a piping bag or ziplock bag. Set aside.
- Prepare the Garlic Butter: Melt the butter in a large bowl. Add the milk, sugar, eggs, minced garlic, and chopped parsley. Whisk everything together until well combined.
- Slice the Rolls: Using a sharp knife, cut each roll into 6-8 wedges, being careful not to cut all the way through, so the base stays intact and the rolls can hold the filling.
- Fill the Rolls: Snip the bottom of your piping bag. Generously pipe cream cheese filling into the crevices of every segmented roll, making sure each roll is well filled.
- Coat with Garlic Butter: Dunk each stuffed roll in the garlic butter mixture, turning to coat it evenly. Let excess drip off, then place each roll onto the prepared baking tray.
- Bake: Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes or until they are crisp and golden brown on top.
- Cool and Enjoy: Allow the bread to cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy warm for the best flavor!
Notes
- Store leftovers tightly wrapped in foil or in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
- Reheat leftover bread in a preheated oven or toaster oven to restore crispiness.
- You can use either homemade or store-bought dinner rolls or burger buns.
- Adjust the amount of garlic to your preference for a milder or stronger flavor.
