Finished with a drizzle of olive oil and fresh basil, this pizza offers a perfect balance of savory flavors and textures that make it a delicious and easy-to-make meal for any occasion.

Ingredients

Pizza Dough

  • 1 pack store bought pizza dough (approx 440g/15.5oz)

Sauce and Cheese

  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1.5 cup grated mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup feta, crumbled

Vegetables and Toppings

  • 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup pitted Kalamata olives, sliced in half
  • 1/3 cup sun-dried tomatoes, sliced
  • 1/2 red pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Fresh basil to top (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven and prepare pizza pan: Preheat your oven to 525℉ (274℃). Place a pizza pan inside the oven for about 5 minutes to heat thoroughly. Once hot, brush the pizza pan lightly with olive oil to prevent sticking.
  2. Prepare the pizza dough: Follow the package instructions to ready the pizza dough. On a parchment-lined or lightly floured surface, shape the dough by pressing down the center and stretching the edges with your hands to form a dough circle approximately 12–13 inches in diameter, leaving the outer crust slightly raised. You can also use a rolling pin to assist in shaping.
  3. Transfer dough to the hot pan: Carefully lift the shaped dough and slide it onto the preheated pizza pan in the oven.
  4. Spread pizza sauce: Spoon the pizza sauce onto the center of the dough and use the back of a spoon to spread it evenly, leaving about a 1-inch border for the crust.
  5. Add mozzarella cheese: Sprinkle the grated mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce layer to ensure uniform melting.
  6. Add vegetable toppings and seasoning: Layer the thinly sliced red onion, halved Kalamata olives, sliced sun-dried tomatoes, sliced red pepper, and dried oregano evenly over the cheese. Sprinkle crumbled feta cheese on top and season with a pinch of salt and freshly cracked pepper to taste.
  7. Brush crust with olive oil: Lightly brush the exposed edges of the crust with olive oil to help it brown and achieve a crispy finish.
  8. Bake the pizza: Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the mozzarella cheese is melted, bubbly, and the crust is golden brown.
  9. Final touches and serving: Remove the pizza from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, then top with fresh basil leaves and an extra drizzle of olive oil if desired. Slice into 8 pieces and serve warm.

Notes

  • For a crispier crust, preheat the pizza pan well before placing the dough on it.
  • You can substitute store-bought dough with homemade pizza dough if preferred.
  • Adjust the quantity of toppings according to your taste preference.
  • If you prefer a milder flavor, omit the sun-dried tomatoes or reduce the amount of oregano.
  • Fresh basil adds a bright herbal note but is optional and can be added just before serving.
