Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 14 oz Sweetened Condensed Milk (1 large can)
- 1 cup Smooth Peanut Butter
- 1 cup Pretzel Twists
- ½ cup Powdered Sugar
Instructions
- Heat Peanut Butter and Condensed Milk: In a medium saucepan, combine the peanut butter and sweetened condensed milk. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is smooth and well combined, about 5 to 7 minutes.
- Remove from Heat: Once the mixture is smooth and heated through, remove the saucepan from the heat to prevent overcooking.
- Prepare Pretzels: Crush the pretzels into small pieces, but reserve about 10 to 12 whole pretzels for decoration on top.
- Mix in Sugar and Pretzels: Fold the powdered sugar and crushed pretzels into the warm peanut butter mixture until evenly distributed.
- Pour into Pan: Transfer the mixture into a 5 by 9 inch loaf pan and smooth the surface evenly with a spatula.
- Add Pretzel Topping: Gently press the reserved whole pretzels into the top of the fudge to decorate.
- Refrigerate: Place the pan in the refrigerator and chill for at least 4 hours or overnight until firm and set.
Notes
- Use smooth peanut butter for a creamy texture; crunchy peanut butter can also be used for added texture.
- Ensure the fudge cools slightly before adding powdered sugar to prevent lumps.
- The loaf pan size helps in achieving an ideal thickness; if using a different pan, adjust chilling time as needed.
- Store the fudge refrigerated and consume within 5 days for best freshness.
- This recipe can be doubled easily by using a larger pan.
