Perfectly chilled for at least 6 hours, it offers a delightful combination of rich cream cheese, whipped topping, and crunchy Oreo cookies, making it an easy-to-make treat for any gathering or special occasion.
Ingredients
Cream Cheese Mixture
- 2 8-ounce packages of cream cheese, room temperature
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 3 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
- 1 16-ounce container of whipped topping, thawed
Oreo Layers
- 48 Double Stuf Oreos (about 2 family-sized packages)
- 1/2 cup crushed Oreos
Instructions
- Prepare the Cream Cheese Mixture: Using an electric hand mixer, beat together the room temperature cream cheese, granulated sugar, and heavy whipping cream until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Fold in Whipped Topping: Carefully fold the thawed whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture until fully combined, ensuring a light and fluffy texture.
- Layer Oreos: Lay out a single layer of 24 Double Stuf Oreos evenly on the bottom of a 13×9 baking dish or pan to form the base of the cake.
- Spread Cream Cheese Mixture: Spoon half of the cream cheese and whipped topping mixture over the Oreo layer, spreading it evenly with a spatula to cover all the cookies.
- Add Second Oreo Layer and Topping: Create another layer of 24 Oreos on top of the cream cheese mixture, then spread the remaining cream cheese mixture evenly over this layer. Finish by sprinkling the crushed Oreos on top for added texture and decoration.
- Chill: Cover the dish tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, or until the Oreos soften enough to cut easily with a knife. Serve chilled for the best flavor and texture.
Notes
- Ensure cream cheese is at room temperature for a smooth mixture without lumps.
- Use a spatula to gently fold in the whipped topping to retain its airy texture.
- You can prepare the cake a day ahead to allow the flavors to meld perfectly.
- For a variation, try adding a layer of chocolate ganache or fresh berries between layers.
- Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator and consume within 3 days for optimal freshness.
