Description
This S’mores Edible Cookie Dough recipe is a delicious no-bake treat combining the classic flavors of s’mores with safe-to-eat cookie dough. Made with heat-treated flour, graham crackers, chocolate chips, mini marshmallows, and marshmallow creme, it’s perfect for a quick and fun dessert that requires no baking beyond treating the flour for safety.
Ingredients
Dry Ingredients
- 1½ cups all-purpose flour (heat-treated)
- ⅓ cup granulated sugar
- ⅓ cup brown sugar (light or dark, packed)
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup graham crackers (about 2 whole crackers, crushed into small pieces)
- ½ cup milk chocolate chips
- ⅓ cup mini marshmallows
Wet Ingredients
- ½ cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2-4 tablespoons milk
- ⅓ cup marshmallow creme
Instructions
- Heat-Treat the Flour: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread the flour in a small to medium pan and bake for 6-10 minutes, or until the flour reaches a temperature of 160-165°F to ensure it is safe to eat. Alternatively, heat the flour in a microwave-safe bowl for 20-30 seconds, stir, then continue heating in 15-second intervals until the temperature reaches 160-165°F. Allow the flour to cool completely before using.
- Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large bowl, use a mixer to cream together the room temperature unsalted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: Sift the heat-treated flour and salt into the creamed butter mixture. Mix thoroughly until fully incorporated and a dough starts to form.
- Add Milk to Adjust Texture: Stir in 2 tablespoons of milk to soften the dough. Add more milk, one tablespoon at a time, as needed to reach your preferred cookie dough consistency—soft but not too sticky.
- Fold in S’mores Mix-ins: Gently fold in the milk chocolate chips, crushed graham crackers, and mini marshmallows evenly throughout the dough. Then lightly fold in the marshmallow creme, mixing just enough to distribute it without overworking the dough. Serve immediately and enjoy your s’mores edible cookie dough!
