Description

A creamy and flavorful Spinach Artichoke Dip baked to perfection, combining tender artichoke hearts, spinach, cream cheese, sour cream, and parmesan cheese. Perfect as a warm appetizer served with crackers or bread.

Ingredients

Dip Ingredients

  • 14 ounce can artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese, loosely measured
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup frozen spinach, thawed and liquid squeezed out

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit to prepare for baking the dip.
  2. Mix Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine the sour cream, mayonnaise, cream cheese, drained spinach, chopped artichoke hearts, minced garlic, and 3/4 cup of the parmesan cheese. Stir well until the mixture is smooth and evenly blended.
  3. Prepare Baking Dish: Grease an 8×8 inch baking dish or a similar sized pan, such as a glass pie dish, to prevent sticking.
  4. Fill Baking Dish: Transfer the dip mixture into the greased baking dish and spread it evenly.
  5. Add Topping: Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup of parmesan cheese evenly over the top of the dip for a flavorful crust.
  6. Bake: Bake the dip in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until it is hot, bubbly, and slightly golden on top.
  7. Serve: Remove from the oven and serve warm with your choice of crackers or bread for dipping.

Notes

  • Make sure to squeeze out as much liquid as possible from the thawed spinach to avoid a watery dip.
  • Room temperature cream cheese blends more easily for a smooth texture.
  • You can substitute mayonnaise with Greek yogurt for a tangier, lighter version.
  • Use freshly grated parmesan for the best flavor and melting qualities.
  • Serve immediately after baking for the best texture and temperature.
