Description

A refreshing and nutrient-packed green smoothie featuring baby spinach, frozen banana, and tropical fruit chunks blended with almond or coconut milk. Perfect for a quick, healthy breakfast or snack to boost your energy and provide essential vitamins and minerals.

Ingredients

Liquid Base

  • ½ to ¾ cup almond milk or coconut milk

Greens

  • 2 to 3 cups baby spinach leaves

Fruit

  • 1 frozen ripe banana
  • 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks or mango chunks

Optional Sweetener

  • Stevia, honey, agave, or other preferred sweetener, as needed

Instructions

  1. Add ingredients to blender. In a large, high-powered blender, add the almond or coconut milk first, then the baby spinach leaves, followed by the frozen banana and frozen pineapple or mango chunks.
  2. Start blending low to high. Begin blending on low speed to combine ingredients, then gradually increase to high speed to ensure a smooth texture.
  3. Blend until smooth. Continue blending on high speed for 50 to 60 seconds until the mixture is completely smooth, with no visible chunks of fruit or leaves.
  4. Adjust consistency. If the smoothie is too thick, add more almond or coconut milk in small increments, about ¼ cup at a time, to reach your preferred consistency.
  5. Serve and enjoy. Pour the smoothie into a large glass and enjoy immediately for the best flavor and texture.

Notes

  • Use frozen fruit to achieve a chilled, thick smoothie without needing ice.
  • Baby spinach is mild in flavor and blends well without altering the taste significantly.
  • Adjust sweetness with your preferred sweetener based on your taste and dietary needs.
  • This smoothie is best consumed immediately but can be refrigerated for up to 24 hours with some separation expected.
