Description

A quick and delicious Turkey Hummus Wrap perfect for a healthy lunch or light dinner. This wrap combines sliced turkey breast with creamy hummus and fresh vegetable toppings, all wrapped in your choice of tortilla, making it a versatile and satisfying meal ready in just 5 minutes.

Ingredients

Wrap and Spread

  • 2 large tortillas or wraps of choice (regular, whole wheat, spinach)
  • 1/4 cup hummus

Filling

  • 1/2 lb sliced turkey breast
  • Toppings of choice: lettuce, spinach, bell pepper, red onion, cucumber, tomatoes, sprouts, pickles, banana peppers, hot sauce, dijon mustard

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Tortilla and Spread Hummus: Lay a tortilla flat on a clean counter or plate. Spread 2 tablespoons of hummus evenly down the center of the tortilla to create a flavorful base.
  2. Add Turkey and Toppings: Layer the sliced turkey breast over the hummus. Next, add your desired toppings such as fresh lettuce, spinach, bell peppers, red onion, cucumber, tomatoes, sprouts, pickles, banana peppers, hot sauce, or Dijon mustard, leaving space at the top and bottom edges for folding.
  3. Fold and Roll the Wrap: Fold the bottom and top edges of the tortilla toward the center to cover the filling. Rotate the tortilla 90 degrees and then roll it up tightly from the bottom upwards. For easier eating, you may cut the wrap in half down the middle.

Notes

  • Use whole wheat or spinach tortillas to increase fiber and add extra nutrients.
  • Customize the toppings to suit your taste or dietary preferences.
  • For added flavor, warm the tortilla slightly before assembling.
  • Wraps can be prepared ahead of time and refrigerated for a quick meal later.
  • Use low-sodium turkey breast to reduce sodium intake.
