Ingredients
Bread and Spread
- 4 large sheets lavash bread or flatbread
- 4 oz reduced fat cream cheese (softened)
- ¼ cup plain full fat Greek yogurt
- 1 ½ Tablespoons ranch seasoning mix
Fillings
- 8 oz sliced turkey breast
- 8 slices cheddar cheese or American cheese
- 1 cup butter lettuce
- Optional veggies: tomato slices, bell pepper, carrot or cucumber matchsticks
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Make spread: In a small bowl, thoroughly mix the softened cream cheese, Greek yogurt, and ranch seasoning mix until smooth and well combined.
- Spread: Evenly spread a generous portion of the ranch yogurt mixture over each lavash bread sheet, making sure to leave a small border around the edges for easier rolling.
- Add fillings: Layer a few slices of turkey breast over the spread on each lavash sheet. Next, add two slices of reduced-fat cheddar or American cheese per sheet. Top with fresh butter lettuce leaves and, if desired, add tomato slices or vegetable matchsticks. Lightly season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Roll: Starting from one edge, tightly roll up each lavash sheet into a log shape to keep the fillings secure.
- Cut: Using a sharp knife, slice each rolled lavash log into 1-inch thick pinwheel pieces.
- Serve: Arrange the pinwheels neatly on a serving platter and enjoy immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.
Notes
- Customize with your favorite deli meats or substitute with vegetarian alternatives for a different twist.
- For best results, chill the pinwheels for 15-20 minutes before slicing to help them hold their shape.
- Use reduced-fat cheese and yogurt to keep the snack lighter without sacrificing flavor.
- These pinwheels are great for meal prep and can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
- Feel free to add a bit of fresh herbs like dill or chives into the spread for extra flavor.
