Description

These Big Mac Sliders are a delicious miniature version of the classic McDonald’s Big Mac. Juicy seasoned ground beef layered with melted American cheese, crisp diced onions, shredded iceberg lettuce, and tangy dill pickles, all topped with a signature Big Mac sauce and toasted buttery Hawaiian rolls with sesame seeds. Perfect for parties or a fun family meal, these sliders are easy to make and packed with flavor.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 12 Hawaiian Rolls
  • 6 slices American Cheese
  • ½ cup White Onion (diced)
  • 1 tablespoon Butter (melted)
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds
  • 5 ounces Iceberg Lettuce (shredded)
  • ½ cup Dill Pickles (sliced)

Big Mac Sauce

  • ½ cup Mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons Mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons Pickle Relish
  • ½ teaspoon Onion Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Smoked Paprika

Instructions

  1. Cook the Ground Beef: In a large skillet, add the ground beef along with the pepper and salt. Cook over medium to high heat, stirring occasionally, until the meat is fully cooked and no longer pink inside. Drain any excess fat if needed.
  2. Prepare Oven and Baking Sheet: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  3. Prepare the Slider Buns: Keep the Hawaiian rolls connected and slice them in half horizontally. Set the top halves aside and lay the bottom halves flat on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Add Cheese to Bottom Buns: Place the American cheese slices evenly over the bottom halves of the slider buns, allowing them to melt slightly when baked later.
  5. Assemble Meat and Onions: Distribute the cooked ground beef evenly over the cheese layer on the bottom buns. Sprinkle the diced white onions on top of the beef.
  6. Melt Butter: Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl, ready for brushing on the top buns.
  7. Prepare the Top Buns: Place the top bun halves back on their bottoms. Brush the tops generously with melted butter and immediately sprinkle sesame seeds over them to ensure they stick.
  8. Bake the Sliders: Place the assembled sliders in the preheated oven and bake for about 12 minutes or until the tops are golden brown and slightly toasted.
  9. Make the Big Mac Sauce: While the sliders bake, combine the mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, pickle relish, onion powder, garlic powder, and smoked paprika in a small bowl. Stir well to blend all flavors.
  10. Remove Sliders and Separate Tops: Take the sliders out of the oven carefully, then gently lift off the top buns and set them aside.
  11. Apply the Sauce: Drizzle the prepared Big Mac sauce evenly over the meat and onion layer on the bottom buns. Add shredded iceberg lettuce over the sauce for crunch.
  12. Finish Assembly and Serve: Replace the top buns carefully over the sliders. Using a sharp knife, slice the entire slider block into individual sliders along the pre-cut lines. Serve warm and enjoy your homemade Big Mac Sliders!

Notes

  • For best results, use fresh Hawaiian rolls to achieve a soft and slightly sweet slider bun.
  • You can customize the sauce by adjusting the amount of pickle relish and spices to taste.
  • Feel free to add more shredded lettuce if you prefer a crunchier bite.
  • To make prep easier, you can cook the beef a day ahead and reheat before assembling.
  • If you want extra meltiness, add cheese on both bun halves before baking.
  • These sliders are ideal for parties, meal prep, or game-day snacks.
