Ingredients
Beef Mixture
- 16 oz. lean ground beef
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon ground mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
Vegetables and Toppings
- 1 large head Romaine lettuce, chopped (6-8 cups)
- 10 oz. cherry tomatoes, halved
- 3/4 cup pickle chips
- 1/4 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 cup cubed sharp cheddar cheese
- 8 strips cooked and crumbled bacon
Others
- 1 recipe potato wedges (or store-bought fries)
- 1 recipe Burger Sauce (homemade)
Instructions
- Prepare Potato Wedges: Either bake your homemade potato wedges following your favorite recipe or cook store-bought fries according to the package instructions. Set aside once done so they are ready to assemble with the bowl.
- Make Burger Sauce: While the potato wedges or fries bake, whisk together all the ingredients for the homemade burger sauce. This sauce adds a tangy, creamy element that will elevate the burger bowls. Also, prep any additional toppings during this time.
- Cook Ground Beef: Heat a large, heavy-bottomed skillet over medium-high heat until it starts to smoke lightly. Add the ground beef and let it sear on each side for 1-2 minutes without stirring to develop a nice crust. Then break up the beef and sprinkle all the spices—salt, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, ground mustard, and dried oregano—over it. Stir well to combine and continue crumbling and cooking the beef until it is fully cooked and richly browned. Drain any excess grease, then stir in Worcestershire sauce for added depth of flavor.
- Assemble the Bowls: Divide the chopped Romaine lettuce evenly among four bowls. Top each with an even portion of the cooked ground beef, potato wedges or fries, cherry tomatoes, pickle chips, sliced red onion, cubed cheddar cheese, and crumbled bacon strips. Just before serving, drizzle the prepared burger sauce generously over each bowl for an irresistible finishing touch. Serve immediately while everything is warm and fresh.
