Description

Delightful chocolate covered marshmallows perfect for parties or sweet treats. These easy-to-make marshmallow pops are coated in smooth melted chocolate and can be decorated with colorful sprinkles or candy-coated chocolate chips, making them fun and festive for any occasion.

Ingredients

Marshmallow Pops

  • 48 large marshmallows
  • 24 lollipop sticks

Chocolate Coating

  • 2 cups chocolate melting wafers

Optional Decorations

  • Rainbow sprinkles
  • Candy-coated chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Prepare Marshmallows: Push between one and three large marshmallows onto each lollipop stick and set them aside to be coated later.
  2. Melt Chocolate: Place the chocolate melting wafers in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat them in 20-second intervals, stirring between each until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
  3. Coat Marshmallows: Dip each marshmallow pop into the melted chocolate, turning the stick a few times to ensure full coverage of the chocolate on all sides.
  4. Remove Excess Chocolate: Lift the chocolate-coated marshmallow stick out of the bowl and gently tap the stick against the side of the bowl a couple of times to let excess chocolate drip off. Place the coated marshmallow on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Add Decorations: While the chocolate is still soft, sprinkle with your choice of rainbow sprinkles or candy-coated chocolate chips. If you plan to drizzle another type of chocolate over the marshmallows, wait until the first layer has set before doing so.
  6. Repeat: Continue coating and decorating the remaining marshmallow pops until all are done.
  7. Set and Store: Allow the chocolate coating to completely set at room temperature before transferring to containers for storage or serving.

Notes

  • Use high-quality chocolate melting wafers for the best smooth coating.
  • Ensure chocolate is not overheated to avoid burning or seizing.
  • You can mix different types of chocolate (dark, milk, white) for variety.
  • Keep the marshmallow pops at room temperature until serving; avoid refrigeration to prevent chocolate bloom or condensation.
  • Customize decorations with nuts or crushed cookies for different textures.
