Description

Chocolate Delight is a decadent no-bake layered dessert featuring a buttery graham cracker crust, rich cream cheese and whipped topping layer, silky instant chocolate pudding, and topped with toffee bits and chocolate shavings. Perfectly chilled, it offers a creamy, crunchy, and sweet treat ideal for parties and family gatherings.

Ingredients

Crust

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Filling

  • ½ cup mini chocolate chips
  • ½ cup toffee bits
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup whipped topping
  • 2 packages instant chocolate pudding mix (3.9 ounces each)
  • 3 cups cold milk
  • 2 cups whipped topping
  • ½ cup toffee bits (for topping)
  • ¼ cup chocolate shavings
  • Caramel sauce (for drizzling, optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the crust: Preheat your oven to 350°F. In a medium mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, granulated sugar, and salt. Stir until all crumbs are evenly moistened.
  2. Form the crust: Press the crumb mixture firmly and evenly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish. Use the bottom of a measuring cup or glass to smooth and compact the crust.
  3. Bake the crust: Bake in the preheated oven for 8–10 minutes until lightly golden and set. Remove and allow to cool completely, about 15–20 minutes.
  4. Add chocolate chips and toffee: Sprinkle mini chocolate chips and toffee bits evenly over the cooled crust.
  5. Prepare cream cheese layer: Beat softened cream cheese and powdered sugar together with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy. Gently fold in 1 cup whipped topping until incorporated. Spread this mixture evenly over the chocolate chip and toffee layer.
  6. Make the pudding layer: In a large bowl, whisk together instant chocolate pudding mixes and cold milk for about 2 minutes until pudding starts to thicken. Spread pudding evenly over the cream cheese layer.
  7. Top with whipped topping and garnish: Spread the remaining 2 cups whipped topping over the pudding layer smoothly. Sprinkle with toffee bits and chocolate shavings for garnish.
  8. Chill the dessert: Cover the dish tightly with plastic wrap or foil and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, allowing it to set properly.
  9. Serve: Once chilled and set, cut into squares and optionally drizzle caramel sauce over each serving before serving.

Notes

  • Make sure the cream cheese is fully softened for easy mixing and smooth texture.
  • Use cold milk for the pudding to ensure it thickens correctly.
  • Allowing the crust to cool completely before adding layers prevents melting or sogginess.
  • Refrigeration time of at least 2 hours is crucial for the layers to set and meld flavors.
  • For extra flair, caramel sauce adds a delicious sweet finish but is optional.
  • Can be prepared a day ahead and kept refrigerated.
