Description

Chocolate Oreo Delight is a creamy, no-bake layered dessert featuring a chocolate cookie crust, rich chocolate cream cheese layer, smooth chocolate pudding with marshmallows, topped with whipped topping and drizzled chocolate syrup. Perfect for parties and easy to prepare in just 25 minutes.

Ingredients

Crust

  • 36 chocolate sandwich cookies (like Oreos)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick, melted)

Chocolate Cream Cheese Layer

  • 8 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 cup butter (softened to room temperature)
  • 5 envelopes hot chocolate mix
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 8 ounces whipped topping (like Cool Whip)

Chocolate Pudding Layer

  • 7.8 ounces instant chocolate pudding mix (2 boxes, 3.9 ounces each)
  • 2 3/4 cups milk
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows

Topping

  • 8 ounces whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
  • 2 cups mini marshmallows
  • Chocolate syrup for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cookie crumbs: Place the chocolate sandwich cookies in a food processor and pulse a few times until fine crumbs form. Alternatively, place cookies in a zip closure plastic bag and crush with a rolling pin or mallet.
  2. Line the baking dish: Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper to facilitate easy removal of the dessert later.
  3. Form the crust: In a bowl, combine the cookie crumbs with the melted butter and stir thoroughly until all crumbs are moistened. Press the mixture down evenly into the lined baking dish to form a firm crust.
  4. Make chocolate cream cheese layer: Using an electric mixer, beat the softened cream cheese and softened butter together in a large bowl until creamy and smooth. Add the hot chocolate mix and powdered sugar, then blend again until fully incorporated.
  5. Add whipped topping: Gently fold in one container (8 ounces) of whipped topping into the chocolate cream cheese mixture. Spread this layer evenly over the cookie crust in the baking dish.
  6. Prepare pudding layer: In a medium bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix and milk until smooth and thickened. Stir in 1 cup of mini marshmallows evenly.
  7. Assemble pudding layer: Carefully spread the pudding and marshmallow mixture evenly over the chocolate cream cheese layer in the dish.
  8. Add final toppings: Spread the remaining container (8 ounces) of whipped topping over the pudding layer. Sprinkle 2 cups mini marshmallows on top and drizzle with chocolate syrup to garnish.
  9. Chill the dessert: Refrigerate the assembled dessert for at least 2 hours to set. For easier slicing, place in the freezer before serving.

Notes

  • Ensure cream cheese and butter are softened to room temperature for easy blending.
  • For a firmer crust, press the crumbs down firmly with the back of a spoon or glass.
  • For best results, chill the dessert overnight if time allows to enhance flavors and texture.
  • You can substitute whipped topping with homemade whipped cream if preferred.
  • Use parchment paper for easy removal and clean-up.
