Ingredients

Butter Mixture

  • 6 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp. maple syrup

Pretzels

  • 4 cups pretzel snaps (butter flavored recommended)

Cinnamon Sugar Topping

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon


Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Set this aside for baking the pretzels later.
  2. Prepare Butter Mixture: Melt the 6 tablespoons of butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and 1 teaspoon maple syrup until well combined.
  3. Coat the Pretzels: Place the 4 cups of pretzel snaps into a large bowl. Pour the butter mixture over the pretzels and toss thoroughly to ensure every pretzel is evenly coated with the buttery cinnamon mixture.
  4. Bake the Pretzels: Spread the coated pretzels out on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer. Place in the preheated oven and bake for 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the pretzels to crisp slightly.
  5. Prepare Cinnamon Sugar: While the pretzels bake, mix together 1/4 cup granulated sugar and 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon in a separate bowl until well combined.
  6. Toss with Cinnamon Sugar: Once the pretzels are done baking, remove them from the oven and transfer back into a large bowl. Immediately sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the warm pretzels and toss well to coat each piece with the sweet cinnamon topping.
