Ingredients
Base and Filling
- ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 cup self rising flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ¾ cup milk
- 15 ounces canned peaches (including juice)
Topping
- 1 cup Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F. Pour the melted butter into the bottom of an 8-inch baking dish and set it aside.
- Make Batter: In a large mixing bowl, combine the self rising flour, granulated sugar, and milk. Mix until well combined, then pour the mixture carefully over the melted butter in the baking dish, ensuring even coverage.
- Add Peaches: Spread the canned peaches along with all the juice evenly over the sugar and flour mixture. Do not stir; simply spread to cover the surface.
- Prepare Topping: Place the Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal into a large Ziploc bag and crush it using a rolling pin until finely broken into crumbs. Spread the crushed cereal evenly over the peaches.
- Bake Cobbler: Bake the cobbler for about 35 minutes, or until the top turns golden brown and crisp.
- Serve: Remove from the oven and, if desired, sprinkle confectioners’ sugar on top. Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
- Use an 8-inch baking dish for best results.
- Do not stir the peaches into the batter to maintain layers.
- Crushing the cereal finely ensures a crisp, crunchy topping.
- Optional dusting of confectioners’ sugar adds extra sweetness and a decorative touch.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving to let the cobbler set.
