Description

Delicious and easy-to-make steak kabobs featuring tender sirloin cubes marinated with Montreal steak seasoning, grilled alongside vibrant bell peppers and red onions for a perfect quick meal.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 and 1/4 pounds sirloin steak, trimmed and sliced into 1 and 1/2-inch cubes
  • 1 Tablespoon Montreal steak seasoning

Vegetables

  • 2 bell peppers (any color), chopped into 1-inch chunks
  • 1 small red onion, chopped into 1-inch chunks

Instructions

  1. Season and prep: Cut the sirloin steak into 1 and 1/2-inch cubes and season generously on all sides with 1 tablespoon of Montreal steak seasoning. Set the meat aside to let the flavors meld while you chop the vegetables, gather your skewers, and preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Assemble kabobs: Thread the cubed steak, bell pepper chunks, and red onion pieces onto skewers, alternating them evenly to ensure each kabob has a balanced mix of meat and vegetables.
  3. Grill: Place the assembled kabobs directly on the preheated grill grate. Cook for about 5 minutes on each side, or until the steak reaches your desired level of doneness. For rare steak, the internal temperature should be around 120°-125°F.
  4. Serve: Remove the kabobs from the grill and let them rest for 3-4 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute. Be cautious with metal skewers as they may remain hot. Serve warm and enjoy your flavorful kabobs.

Notes

  • Use metal or soaked wooden skewers to prevent sticking or burning during grilling.
  • Letting the steak rest after grilling improves juiciness and flavor.
  • Optional: Marinate steak cubes for 30 minutes to enhance taste further.
  • Ensure even-sized pieces of meat and vegetables for consistent cooking.
