Description

This Edible Monster Cookie Dough recipe offers a safe-to-eat, no-bake dough loaded with peanut butter, oats, mini chocolate chips, and mini M&M candies. Perfect as a fun treat or snack, this cookie dough delivers all the flavors of classic monster cookies without the need for baking.

Ingredients

Base Ingredients

  • ½ cup Butter (Softened)
  • ¼ cup Peanut Butter
  • 1 cup All Purpose Flour (Heat-Treated, 120g)
  • ¼ cup Granulated Sugar (50g)
  • ½ cup Brown Sugar (106g)
  • ⅔ cup Old Fashioned Oats
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Milk

Mix-Ins

  • ½ cup Mini Chocolate Chips
  • ½ cup Mini M&M Candy

Instructions

  1. Cream the Butters and Sugars: Using a hand mixer, cream the softened butter with the peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a large bowl until fully combined and smooth.
  2. Add Vanilla Extract: Stir in the vanilla extract thoroughly to infuse the mixture with flavor.
  3. Incorporate Dry Ingredients and Milk: Gradually add the heat-treated all-purpose flour, salt, and old-fashioned oats to the peanut butter mixture. Initially, the mixture will appear dry and crumbly. Add milk one tablespoon at a time, mixing after each addition, until the dough reaches a smooth, cookie dough-like consistency. Adjust the milk quantity as needed to achieve a moist, scoopable texture.
  4. Fold in Mix-Ins: Hand stir the mini chocolate chips and mini M&M candies into the dough, reserving a few to press on top of the cookie dough scoops for a decorative finish.

Notes

  • Heat-treating flour by baking it at 350°F (175°C) for 5-7 minutes kills any bacteria, making it safe for raw consumption.
  • This dough is best enjoyed refrigerated and can be stored in an airtight container for up to one week.
  • Adjust the milk quantity to control the dough’s moisture; add less for thicker dough, more for softer consistency.
  • For a nut-free version, substitute peanut butter with sunflower seed butter and ensure all other ingredients are nut-free.
