Description

This Halloween Smoothie is a vibrant, nutritious green smoothie inspired by ‘Frankenstein’ that is easy to make and packed with wholesome ingredients. Featuring dairy-free milk, fresh fruits, and spinach, this plant-based recipe offers a creamy texture, a balance of sweetness and acidity, and optional protein boost. Perfect for a festive, healthy treat that’s both filling and refreshing.

Ingredients

Base Ingredients

  • 12 ounces dairy free milk (such as unsweetened almond milk)
  • 1 large banana
  • 2 cups spinach (baby spinach leaves preferred)
  • 1 avocado
  • 1 kiwi

Optional Add-Ons

  • 1 scoop vegan protein powder
  • Blackberries (for garnish or extra flavor)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ingredients: Gather all ingredients. Peel the banana, avocado, and kiwi. Rinse the spinach thoroughly to remove any dirt or grit.
  2. Add Base Liquids and Fruits: Pour 12 ounces of your choice of dairy-free milk into a blender. Add the banana, avocado, and kiwi to the blender.
  3. Add Greens: Add 2 cups of fresh baby spinach leaves into the blender. This will provide the vibrant green color and nutritional benefits.
  4. Include Optional Add-ons: If desired, add 1 scoop of vegan protein powder for an extra protein boost. You may also add a handful of blackberries for extra flavor and color if preferred.
  5. Blend the Smoothie: Blend all ingredients on high until smooth and creamy, ensuring there are no chunks remaining. You can pause and scrape down the sides as needed.
  6. Serve & Enjoy: Pour the smoothie into glasses and serve immediately while fresh. Optionally garnish with a few blackberries on top for presentation.

Notes

  • Use unsweetened dairy-free milk to keep sugar levels low, or substitute with orange juice or water for different flavor profiles.
  • For a thicker smoothie, use frozen banana or add ice cubes before blending.
  • If you don’t have kiwi, substitute with pineapple chunks (fresh or frozen) or a splash of lemon juice to maintain the tangy acidity and bright green theme.
  • This smoothie is best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours; shake or stir before drinking.
  • The recipe yields 2 servings and can easily be scaled up for more portions.
