Description

Enjoy a refreshing and healthy treat with these Homemade Freeze Pops made from a variety of real frozen fruits blended with natural sweeteners and citrus juice. Perfect for a hot day, these popsicles are easy to make, require minimal ingredients, and provide a burst of fruity flavor with each bite.

Ingredients

General Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen fruit, thawed for 30 minutes at room temperature or 30 seconds in the microwave
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon or lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons honey or agave

Flavors

  • Mint leaves for color (for kiwi pineapple flavor)
  • 2 cups frozen strawberries
  • 2 cups frozen mango
  • 2 cups frozen peach
  • 1 cup frozen kiwi
  • 1 cup frozen pineapple
  • 1/4 cup mint leaves
  • 2 cups frozen blueberries
  • 1 cup frozen dragonfruit
  • 1 cup frozen raspberry

Instructions

  1. Prepare Fruit: Thaw the frozen fruit for 30 minutes at room temperature or for 30 seconds in the microwave to soften it slightly, making it easier to blend.
  2. Blend Mixture: Add the thawed fruit to a blender along with 1/2 cup water, 2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon or lime juice, and 2 tablespoons of honey or agave. Blend until the mixture is completely smooth and uniform.
  3. Pour into Sleeves: Using a funnel, carefully pour the blended fruit mixture into popsicle sleeves or molds to avoid spills and mess.
  4. Freeze: Place the filled popsicle sleeves into the freezer and allow them to freeze completely. This should take approximately 8 hours or preferably overnight to ensure they are fully solidified.

Notes

  • Use fresh lemon or lime juice for the best flavor.
  • Adjust sweetness by adding more or less honey/agave based on your taste preference.
  • Add mint leaves to the kiwi and pineapple blend for a visually appealing green tint.
  • Make sure the fruit is only partially thawed before blending to maintain texture and chill.
  • Freeze the pops fully before serving to avoid melting.
