Description
Delicious and easy-to-make salmon skewers marinated with fresh rosemary, olive oil, and lemon slices, grilled to perfection in just 16 minutes. This recipe serves 4 and is perfect for a quick, healthy, and flavorful meal.
Ingredients
Salmon Marinade
- 1 pound 1-inch-thick salmon filets (skin removed)
- 1 5-inch sprig rosemary
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (plus more for oiling the grill)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Additional Ingredients
- 1 to 2 lemons, thinly sliced
Instructions
- Prepare the Salmon: Cut the salmon filets into 1-inch chunks, ensuring uniform size for even cooking.
- Make the Marinade: Strip the rosemary leaves by sliding your fingers down the sprig from the top, then finely chop the leaves. In a large bowl, combine the chopped rosemary, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Add the salmon chunks and toss gently to coat them evenly with the marinade.
- Assemble the Skewers: Slice the lemons thinly. Alternate threading the salmon chunks and lemon slices onto 4 metal or soaked bamboo skewers to create flavorful kebabs.
- Preheat and Oil the Grill: Heat the grill to medium-high. Using tongs and an oiled paper towel, oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.
- Grill the Skewers: Place the skewers on the grill and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, until the salmon is nicely charred and cooked through. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Soaking bamboo skewers for 30 minutes before grilling prevents them from burning.
- Adjust lemon quantity according to your taste preference for citrus flavor.
- Use fresh rosemary for the best aromatic flavor.
- Serve with a side of grilled vegetables or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
- Ensure the grill is hot before placing the skewers to get proper sear marks.
