Description

A refreshing and vibrant Mexican Fruit Salad featuring a colorful mix of grapes, strawberries, pineapple, and mangoes, perfectly seasoned with fresh lime juice and Tajín seasoning for a zesty, tangy flavor. Ready in just 15 minutes, this fruit salad is a perfect healthy snack or side dish for gatherings.

Ingredients

Fruits

  • 2 cups red grapes (about 10 ounces)
  • 2 cups green grapes (about 10 ounces)
  • 2 cups strawberries, hulled and halved or quartered (about 12 ounces)
  • 2 cups fresh pineapple, diced (about 12 ounces)
  • 2 large mangos, diced (about 2 to 2 ½ cups)

Seasoning

  • 1 large lime, juiced (about 2 to 3 tablespoons), plus extra lime wedges for serving (optional)
  • 1 ½ to 2 teaspoons Tajín seasoning

Instructions

  1. Prep Fruit: Wash and dry all the fruit thoroughly. Place 2 cups red grapes, 2 cups green grapes, 2 cups strawberries, 2 cups fresh pineapple, and 2 large diced mangos into a large mixing bowl.
  2. Add Lime Juice: Drizzle 2 to 3 tablespoons of fresh lime juice over the mixed fruits to enhance the flavor and add a refreshing citrusy tang.
  3. Season: Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of Tajín seasoning evenly over the fruit mixture and gently toss everything together to ensure the seasoning is well incorporated.
  4. Finish: For an extra burst of flavor, sprinkle an additional ½ to 1 teaspoon of Tajín over the top of the salad.
  5. Serve: Serve the Mexican fruit salad immediately, optionally garnished with lime wedges on the side for added zest.

Notes

  • Use ripe, fresh fruits for the best flavor and texture.
  • Tajín seasoning adds a spicy, tangy kick, but you can adjust the amount according to your taste preferences.
  • Serve immediately to maintain freshness and prevent the fruit from becoming soggy.
  • This salad can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 day, but it’s best eaten fresh.
  • For extra zest, add a sprinkle of chili powder or a handful of chopped fresh mint.
