Description

This Peach Brie Flatbread is a delightful and elegant appetizer featuring warm, melted brie cheese paired with juicy peaches, fresh berries, and aromatic herbs on a crispy naan flatbread. The combination of sweet, savory, and fresh flavors creates a perfect bite that is easy to prepare and perfect for entertaining.

Ingredients

Flatbread Base

  • 2 naan flatbreads
  • 1/2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small clove garlic, minced

Toppings

  • 6 ounces brie cheese, rind removed and thinly sliced
  • 2 peaches, thinly sliced
  • 3 tablespoons thinly sliced red onion
  • 3/4 cup blackberries

Garnish

  • Fresh basil leaves
  • 1 cup arugula
  • Flaky sea salt, for sprinkling
  • Honey or hot honey, for drizzling
  • 3 tablespoons chopped pistachios, optional, for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit to prepare for baking the flatbreads.
  2. Prepare the flatbread base: Arrange the naan flatbreads on a large baking sheet. Brush each naan evenly with olive oil and sprinkle with the minced garlic to add flavor.
  3. Add toppings: Distribute the thinly sliced brie cheese evenly over the naan. Top with thinly sliced peaches, red onion, and blackberries for a fresh and colorful balance of flavors.
  4. Bake the flatbreads: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 7 to 10 minutes, or until the brie is melted and the flatbread edges turn a light golden brown.
  5. Add final garnishes: Remove the flatbreads from the oven and immediately top with fresh basil leaves and arugula. Sprinkle flaky sea salt over the top, drizzle with honey or hot honey for a touch of sweetness and heat, and optionally sprinkle with chopped pistachios for added crunch.
  6. Serve: Cut the flatbreads into pieces and serve immediately while warm and fresh.

Notes

  • For a crispier base, you can prebake the naan for a few minutes before adding toppings.
  • If brie rind is preferred, you may leave it on for extra flavor and texture.
  • Hot honey adds a pleasant spicy kick but can be substituted with regular honey for a milder taste.
  • Chopped pistachios add a nice crunchy texture but can be omitted if desired.
  • Use ripe peaches for the best sweetness and juiciness.
