Ingredients
Dry Ingredients
- 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
Wet Ingredients
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- ⅓ cup vegetable oil
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare Pan: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan with butter or non-stick spray to prevent sticking during baking.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until evenly combined.
- Combine Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, use an electric mixer to blend the creamy peanut butter, milk, egg, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and uniform.
- Combine Wet and Dry: Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients using a spatula or wooden spoon. Mix just until all the flour is incorporated—do not overmix to keep the bread tender.
- Pour Batter into Pan: Transfer the batter into the greased loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula for even baking.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 50 to 55 minutes. Test doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center of the loaf; it should come out clean or with just a few moist crumbs.
- Cool: Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove it from the pan and let it cool completely on a wire rack before slicing.
Notes
- Make sure not to overmix the batter to ensure a light and tender bread texture.
- If you prefer a more pronounced peanut butter flavor, consider adding chopped peanuts or peanut butter chips to the batter.
- This bread keeps well in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or can be frozen for longer storage.
- You can substitute milk with a non-dairy alternative like almond milk for a dairy-free version.
