Ingredients
Base Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups fresh raspberries
- 3/4 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt, plain, full-fat
- 2-3 Tbsp honey, sugar, or sweetener of choice
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Garnish Ideas
- More fresh raspberries
- Mini chocolate chips
- Fresh mint leaves
Instructions
- Add the base ingredients to a blender: Combine the fresh raspberries, whole milk, Greek yogurt, honey, pinch of salt, and vanilla extract in a blender container.
- Blend until smooth: Blend the mixture for 20-30 seconds until you achieve a smooth consistency without chunks.
- Strain the seeds: Pour the blended mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a bowl or large measuring cup, using a spoon or spatula to press through and remove the raspberry seeds for a silky texture.
- Freeze: Transfer the smooth, seedless mixture into an empty Ninja Creami Pint container. Place the pint in the freezer without the lid on a flat surface for 24 hours to freeze solid. Leaving the lid off prevents ice build-up and protects the Creami blade during processing.
- Assemble & Spin: After freezing, remove the pint from the freezer. Insert it into the Ninja Creami outer bowl and secure the lid. Attach the bowl assembly to the motor base, rotate the handle to raise and lock the platform. Select the frozen yogurt program on the Ninja Creami to churn the sherbet. If the texture needs improvement, use the ‘Respin’ function once.
- Enjoy: Once processing is complete, remove the sherbet from the machine and serve immediately. Garnish with additional fresh raspberries, mini chocolate chips, or fresh mint leaves if desired.
Notes
- Straining the seeds is key for a smooth sherbet texture.
- Freezing the pint without the lid prevents damage to the Ninja Creami blade.
- Adjust honey or sweetener to taste depending on berry sweetness and preference.
- If you don’t have a Ninja Creami, you can churn in an ice cream maker or freeze and stir periodically, though texture may vary.
- This recipe yields one serving but can easily be scaled up by multiplying ingredients and using multiple pint containers.
