Ingredients
Ice Cream Base
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter, softened
Mix-Ins
- 1/2 cup sprinkles
- 1/2 cup mini peanut butter cups, chopped (about 3 ounces)
- 3/4 cup peanut butter candy pieces (about 5 ounces)
Instructions
- Whip Cream: In a large mixing bowl, use an electric mixer on high speed to beat 2 cups of heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form, which should take approximately 2 to 3 minutes.
- Add Base: Add 1 cup of softened creamy peanut butter and 1 (14 ounce) can of sweetened condensed milk to the whipped cream. Beat on low speed for 15 to 20 seconds until just combined to maintain the lightness of the whipped cream.
- Add Mix-Ins: Gently fold in 1/2 cup sprinkles, 1/2 cup chopped mini peanut butter cups, and 3/4 cup peanut butter candy pieces using a rubber spatula until they are evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
- Transfer: Spoon the combined mixture into an 8 x 4 inch loaf pan or any freezer-safe container. Smooth the top evenly with a spatula for an even freeze and shape.
- Freeze: Cover the container tightly with plastic wrap or a lid and place it in the freezer for at least 4 hours to achieve a soft-serve texture, or freeze overnight for a firmer, scoopable consistency.
- Serve: Remove from the freezer and let sit at room temperature for about 5 minutes before scooping. Serve the ice cream in bowls or cones for a delightful dessert experience.
Notes
- For best texture, do not overbeat the condensed milk mixture to keep the base light.
- Allowing the ice cream to soften slightly at room temperature before serving will make scooping easier.
- You can customize the mix-ins by adding other candy pieces or nuts as desired.
- Store leftover ice cream in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 1 week for optimal freshness.
