Description

Strawberry Delight is a refreshing layered no-bake dessert featuring a buttery Golden Oreo crust, a creamy strawberry cheesecake layer studded with fresh diced strawberries, and a fluffy strawberry Jell-O topping, all crowned with a final Cool Whip layer and garnished with extra strawberries and Oreo crumbs. Perfect for gatherings, this chilled dessert combines rich flavors and textures for a crowd-pleasing treat.

Ingredients

Crust

  • 36 Golden Oreos cookies
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted (1 stick)
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Cheesecake Layer

  • 16 ounces full fat cream cheese, at room temperature (2 blocks)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 8 ounces Cool Whip, thawed
  • 2 ½ cups diced strawberries (patted dry)

Strawberry Jello Layer

  • 3 ounce box strawberry Jell-O mix
  • ¾ cup boiling water
  • ¾ cup ice water
  • 8 ounces Cool Whip, thawed

Topping

  • 8 ounces Cool Whip, thawed
  • Additional fresh strawberries
  • Golden Oreo crumbles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Pan: Spray a 9×13 baking pan with cooking spray and set aside to prevent sticking.
  2. Make the Crust: Place Golden Oreos in a food processor and pulse until fine crumbs resembling sand form. Transfer crumbs to a medium bowl, add melted butter and salt, then stir until all crumbs are moistened.
  3. Form Crust Base: Press the crumb mixture firmly and evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan using fingers or the bottom of a glass. Freeze the crust while preparing the next layer.
  4. Prepare Cheesecake Layer: In a large bowl, beat softened cream cheese and vanilla extract with an electric mixer on medium-high until fluffy. Gradually incorporate powdered sugar until fully mixed.
  5. Add Cool Whip and Strawberries: Fold in 8 ounces of thawed Cool Whip gently, then stir in the diced, patted-dry strawberries to avoid excess moisture.
  6. Assemble Cheesecake Layer: Remove crust from freezer and spread cheesecake mixture evenly over it. Return the pan to the freezer to chill.
  7. Make Strawberry Jello Layer: Dissolve strawberry Jell-O powder in boiling water, stir until fully dissolved, then mix in ice water. Allow the liquid to cool until cold to the touch, refrigerating briefly if needed.
  8. Add Cool Whip to Jello: Once cooled, fold in the remaining 8 ounces of Cool Whip until well combined, then refrigerate for 30 minutes to thicken.
  9. Add Jello Layer: Remove pan from freezer, evenly spread the chilled strawberry Jello mixture over the cheesecake layer, then refrigerate again for at least 4 hours or overnight to fully set.
  10. Top and Serve: Before serving, spread the final 8 ounces of Cool Whip over the top layer. Garnish with additional fresh strawberries and optional Golden Oreo crumbles. Serve chilled.

Notes

  • Ensure strawberries are patted dry to prevent the cheesecake layer from becoming watery.
  • Press the crust firmly for a solid base to prevent crumbling.
  • Allow Jello mixture to cool properly before folding in Cool Whip to maintain texture.
  • Chilling times are important for layers to set firmly, so plan ahead.
  • Optional Oreo crumbles on top add extra crunch and decoration.
