This crockpot white chocolate candy combines creamy vanilla almond bark with crunchy dry roasted peanuts and colorful Halloween M&M’s and sprinkles, creating a delightful sweet and salty treat that sets beautifully at room temperature.
Ingredients
Ingredients
- 16 ounces vanilla almond bark
- 2 cups dry roasted peanuts
- 2 cups Halloween M&M’s (divided)
- 1/4 cup Halloween sprinkles
- Edible eyeballs (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the crockpot: Use a crockpot liner for easy cleanup or lightly spray the insert of the slow cooker with cooking spray.
- Add vanilla almond bark: Break the white almond bark into cubes and place them at the bottom of the crockpot.
- Layer peanuts: Add the dry roasted peanuts evenly over the almond bark cubes.
- Cook on low heat: Cover with the lid and cook on LOW for 1 hour without stirring to allow the almond bark to start melting.
- Stir and continue cooking: Stir the mixture well for even melting and cook for another 15 minutes. Stir again and continue cooking in 15-minute increments as needed until fully melted and combined.
- Mix in Halloween M&M’s: Turn off the crockpot and fold in 1 cup of the Halloween M&M’s gently, being careful not to over-stir to prevent melting.
- Form candies: Lay parchment or wax paper on a flat surface. Drop spoonfuls of the candy mixture onto the paper. Sprinkle additional Halloween M&M’s and sprinkles on top, and press edible eyeballs into each candy if using.
- Cool and set: Allow the candies to cool and harden at room temperature for several hours until set.
- Store or serve: Once hardened, serve immediately or store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.
Notes
- Using a crockpot liner significantly reduces cleanup time.
- Be gentle when folding in the M&M’s to prevent them from melting or bleeding color.
- Allow candies to cool fully at room temperature for best texture; refrigeration is not recommended as it may cause condensation.
- Variations: Substitute peanuts with other nuts or add pretzel pieces for extra crunch.
- Store candies in an airtight container away from heat and moisture.
